MCB17: Three questions to Adam B. Ellick, NYT Video Correspondent
At #MCB17, Adam B. Ellick answered our questions about the recent developments in journalism, and the new set of skills this requires of reporters, the importance of brand awareness and audience development and the balance of entertainment and "serious" reporting.
Ellick is a digital journalism strategist, manager and practitioner at The New York Times. He has led several major digital reforms, and produced multi-platform reporting centered on international human rights issues. In 2015, he co-produced a Pulitzer Prize-winning video about an Afghan woman who was burned to death by a mob. In 2009, he "discovered" Malala Yousafzai and brought her story to the world in a documentary called "Malala's Story."
